About Our Client
Our client is Group with operations in Agri-business (both crops and livestock), Property development and Real estate. Due to increased investment and ambitious growth plans a new role of Chief Operating Officer has been created for an experienced Senior Executive to oversee all operations, people and strategic business aspects of the business with a focus on commercial growth.
The ideal candidate will be strategic in approach and a natural leader who is able to steer the company in the most profitable direction, while also implementing the vision, mission and long-term goals. A full grasp of the marketing needs of the company is essential. The goal is to ensure the company is constantly moving towards fulfilling its short term and long-term objectives.
Job Description
·Lead, mentor and develop an experienced and high calibre team and provide a vision for growth.
·Maximise the company’s opportunity and value add services on offer
·Develop and execute the company's business strategies and inject new ideas and thinking in order to attain
·Work closely with the Finance to ensure the company's financial viability.
·Provide strategic advice to the Chairman and rest of the so that they will have an accurate view of the market and the company's future.
·Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost effective operations and market development activities.
·Communicate and maintain excellent relationships with all stakeholders and business partners.
·Act as a public speaker and PR representative of the company in order to strengthen the profile of the company.
·Collaborate with the Board in setting and driving organizational vision, operational strategy, and resourcing needs
·Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth helping to implement organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planning
·Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met
·Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention
·Adhere to company, regulatory, and local business requirements, enforcing compliance and taking action when necessary
·Analyze internal operations and identify areas of process enhancement
·Develop actionable business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives
·Aggressively manage capital investment and expenses to ensure the company achieves investor targets relative to growth and profitability
·Monitor performance with tracking and establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports, both current and forecasting
·Maintain and build trusted relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders
Skills and Qualifications
·A Chartered Accountant
·Master’s degree in business or related field
·10+ years experience in executive leadership positions
·Leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
·Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues
·A solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
·Be able to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues
·Proven executive experience in a commercially focused leadership role.
·Experience in developing growth strategies and implementing a vision
·Experience and familiarity of the construction industry, Agri-Industry, market changes and forces that influence the company
·Excellent People Leadership skills
